We’ve been in the Lakes this week; I’ll be putting out a fuller photo blog when I get home, having left my iPad/SDHC adaptor behind.
But I wanted to let you see this amazing view of deeper Borrowdale and not far from what is always recorded as the wettest place in Britain. We sat here having coffee on a fairly windless morning and surveying the view before us. There’s not much traffic down here so the loudest noise came from the bleating Herdwick sheep in the field in front of us. A simple farm building converted into a cafe provided our fare and the small piece of land adjoining it had been converted into the most delightful garden area. One of our fellow guests was just sat…..her husband and son having gone off walking, whilst she’d decided to drink in the peace and tranquility. It’s amazing what you find in sometimes the more isolated places!
